Merry Christmas....

and Happy Holidays to all.

Hi everyone, here's hoping life is great to all.

I've been prepping for the holidays little by little and managed a few craft gifts. I see Google made some changes since my last log in and now I can't find where to upload pictures.  Looks like I'll have to figure this out later on. So for now off I go.

Been

away from blogging and crafting. Life just gets in the way from time to time.  I've been doing more picture taking than crafting. It's easier on my hands snapping a photo rather than trying to paper piece things right now. Also, gets me out to enjoy the fall colors which are just gorgeous.

There not quite as bright as last years, maybe by this weekend or next, still very pretty to see.

So I pray that everyone is staying safe with all the weather changes around and staying healthy as flu season here has hit early.

Off to sleep for me now, blessings and hugs to all, many thanks for all the beautiful blog love you all leave me.  Lori m

Never...

forget 911. I still remember it like it was yesterday. The horror, the panic, the Live Photos and videos on the news. I remember calling family and friends to be sure they we're all ok, never forget, always remember, remember all those that worked to save lives and all those that lost their lives.
God Bless, amen!

Boo...

a quick little Halloween card to show today.  It's been way to hot to do any crafting in my craft space, no A/C and even the paper won't cut right in the humidity, so with luck soon lol, soon it will cool off more.

The adorable design die cuts can be found over at ScrapCutsbyJudy, love this collection.  Judy added some new files, drop on by and check them out.

So for now, back to my one room of A/C to keep cool.

Blessings and hugs, Lori m

On a roll.....

I had the chance to get a couple more cards done the other day. First up is an embossed butterfly card done in monochromatic colors which I'm going to enter in The Outlawz CAS challenge.
The cut out circles can be found over at Martha's place.....Fun Stampers Journey.
The congrats stamp came from Diana's place....CTMH.

Next up is a Halloween card made with one of Judy's new files. ( ScrapCutsbyJudy) These new files are so cute, I can't wait to make more cards.

ScrapCutsbyJudy cupcake collection was used for my cupcake and black cat cut outs. The stamp was just one of those I found in Michaels years ago.  The pretty crinkled orange tone ribbon is from Diana's store DL.ART.

That's it for now, I want to thank each and everyone one of you for dropping by and for all the well wishes left.

Cards...cards..

and more cards.  Lately, I've been on a kick  to finally get my cards made ahead of time, instead of   rushing before someone's Birthday or other.

I'm still..... trying to get this never ending home organized and safer for me to get to things.

Never seems to end..... or is it that there just isn't enough hours in the day?

Either way......I've love to be finished and able to relax without the worry of more falls or just having a hard time getting to things.

Alrighty then, on to some fun stuff I've made....

First up are two very cute cards made with Miss Rach's Winter set, aren't they just so sweet?

Next up are two Birthday cards I made using my Cricut Explore Air and the free weekly set, awesome!!

Next up is one of my favorites and from my new stamp set which you can find over at Martha's Fun Stampers Journey site.  Love this Christmas set.

There you have it, as you can see this has been a crafty run on cards and I have more to make.  I'm also working on a few signs that I'm either going to wood burn or use vinyl on for the home.

Happy Healthy Sunday to all, blessings and hugs, Lori m

Trying...

to get my blog back to normal again lol.  Here's a few cards made that I finished.

Blessings and hugs, Lori m

The first card is made with stamps and die cuts from my new set over at Martha's site Fun Stampers Journey. Awesome Christmas set indeed.

The bottom card with the adorable Santa hat Walrus is a cute Digi from Miss Rach's winter set, love, love these little cuties.

So for now, off I go....blessings and hugs to all, thank you everyone for the blog love and dropping by.,  Lori m

Something....

still wrong, I'm just not able to comment even on my own blog, I keep getting booted, reloaded Google and the same thing, this happens on and off, guessing something I changed here or there again.

Anyway, thank you all for the lovely comments and I hope mine at least are showing up on your blogs, hugs, Lori m

Monday, July 25, 2016

Quick hello....

it's looking like we might get some very much needed rain and possible some thunder or more. I'm hoping anyway, the storms seem to come close, then move on by.

Here's just a few cards I've been working on.

The carousel  card is for my granddaughter's first Birthday next month. The card file is from the Silhouette design store.  The sentiment is from Close to my heart Cricut Artsie Cartridge and stamp set.

The Anniversary card is one from the Bosskut Designs LaceEdge Card  and how easy to just cut the pretty card, the butterfly popkut is all attached, love it!

The Bride and Groom are also Bosskut Designs, I thought they worked nicely with the card.

I've been working on more cards in between the heat waves and trying to finally... finish organizing this home... top to bottom.

My sweet honey has been working hard helping to make this home more handicap accessible and safer for me to reach things.

I must say, sometimes it seems like a never ending journey, lol.
*************

Well, it appears our mini downpour and what looked like a major storms is now over, we did get a 5 minute downpour which is better than nothing.  First time since 1975... I believe that it's been this hot, for this long, with high humidity and no rain.

I feel for those living in the South and other states dealing with this heat and much more.

So... on that note, off I go for now,
 Blessings and hugs, Lori m

PS:  On a side note to all those whom wear artificial nails.....how do you type?
***************
One last mention......
Almost forgot....for anyone whom likes blog hops or is looking for a new adventure....check out Martha's blog
Fun Stampers Journey... awesome promotional kit... for new team members.

Ladies and gents, it appears I'm still having the Google commenting glitch, I do hope all of you are getting the comments I'm leaving?  If anyone else is having this problem and found a solution please post or email me, I just don't have the time to research or tinker around anymore with settings.

Also there is a blog hop going on, check it out, OK see ya, happy Monday to all.

Life at home....

trying to get things in order before the winter sets in and enjoying as much of the outdoors as possible.

With the temperatures being so hot and no air in my craft space....crafting came to a hold once again.  I do hope next week it will be a little cooler and back to enjoying my fun room getaway.

For now that's about all the updates I have to share, other than still trying to figure out the google glitches which were probably due to some change I made late night when not being able to sleep lol.

Enjoy, blessings and hugs, Lori m

Bonkers again.....

Sorry for the lack in replies, and here's to hoping my monitored comments on your blog sites are showing up. It appears my google has gone bonkers again and my posted comments aren't showing up on blogger or google plus , wish me luck today getting this back to Okie Dokie working condition!

In spite of my technical woes,  I finished the little wedding mini album I was working on.

For the mini book pages I used my Cricut Explore Air machine, love that machine and my Cameo.
The cartridge was from my Close to your Heart... Artsie cartridge.... and Diana from DL.ART sells them on her site.  Love this cartridge.... I've had it for sometime now, just haven't had time to play around much with it.

Later on, I hope to get some cards made and I'll post the photos when finished.

I'm starting to work on my Holiday cards and excited to use my stamps and dies from Martha.....Funstampersjourney.com and also my winnings from Miss Rach on the Xmas digi bundle .....adorable, I might add.

Today is a little cooler so I'll be able to tolerate my no Air conditioned crafty space, ....off I go now to get in some me time, enjoy your day.

Blessings and Hugs, Lori m

Mini getaways.....

anyone? Recently back from Saratoga Springs New York, and I might add it was just gorgeous.

Unfortunately, we didn't see, all we wanted to,.... or master finding Waldo looking for all the springs lol.

We did see and find most of the ones, for health issues that we wanted to find and one of the reasons for the trip. After filling some jugs with spring water a quick jaunt off to Lake George for a bit. Love this lake and the walking was not as hard on a normal summer day.

It was scorching high temperatures and humidity so back to the hotel and packing to come  home early.

Breathing was uber hard the air was so thick, good indication that Florida or the Southern states would not be a good move for me.

Still one more beautiful place checked off my bucket list, and if you get the chance I'd strongly suggest seeing the sites, gorgeous views and plenty of quaint little shops to enjoy.

Now..... if the healing spring waters really work.......I'll be back for more spring water in the future.

That's all for today, blessings and hugs, Lori m

Turning 60...

not so bad!

I decided to have a 60th Birthday Party with the Steampunk theme.  Although, we didn't get all the steampunk decorations and costume adornments finished in time, we had a blast.  Family and neighbors joined us to celebrate my big number event, I'm still sticking to being only 35, it's my choice don't ya know?

Here are a few pics of the happenings, I wish.... I could share all the photo's, so much talent on the outfits, I felt like we went back in time.

A dear friend..... took all the photos for me so they came out amazing with faces and bodies rather than just fingers or noses. Below is Jack with the Birthday girl "me", oh that number on my hat saying 60, just pretend its not there.

 Jack's steampunk tool holder

Someone funny put this around on a table, sheeesh, funny people,  grinning!

The pen below was made by one of my neighbors, I love anything pink and black so this was perfect.

Such a fun time, the costumes everyone made and wore were all amazing, and I now have a lifetime of memories.

I'm so glad, I changed my mind and agreed to have a party. One of my neighbors gave me one of her handcrafted jewelry pieces that she makes, love it.

My daughter made the sign and my banner, plus these great Orbs to hang from the tent, due to the Birthday girl falling before the party, no set up, before guest photos, sorry.

Everyone had name tags with there Steampunk name and AKA real name below just in case the Birthday girl didn't get around to introduce everyone.

I made mason jars for everyone with their names, however, must remember chalk board vinyl markers on chalk board vinyl runs with moisture lol, good thing for the laminated name tags.

So.... now that I'm in the 60's club, off  I go to rest up a bit, enjoy..Blessings and hugs to all, Lori m

PS: check out Design by Sandy's new Steampunk designs.....Fantastic!

It seems that this time of the year, the days pass to quickly.  I've nothing new to post until next week when I'll have more to show.

I'm going to shut down my other Word Press blog soon, lack of time and  life getting in the way leads to not much blogging time. So this will become my main and only blog.

Stay well, blessings and hugs, Lori m
